Supreme Court of the United States rules theater companies can’t deny services to LGBT people.
The justices ruled the state’s ban on same-sex marriages is unconstitutional.
In its ruling, the court upheld a lower court ruling that said Texas must treat LGBT people equally.
The ruling was based on a state law that prohibited private companies from discriminating on the basis of sexual orientation and gender identity.
The Texas law did not prohibit private businesses from refusing to rent or lease to LGBT groups.
